JOIN OUR TEAM! We are hiring doctoral psychologists to join our team. With an established history and a long list of client organizations, we are growing. You can feel the energy. We are currently looking to add professionals to our core group of consultants. We seek early career doctoral psychologists who are interested in managerial and executive assessment and coaching. For someone early in their career, we are in a position to provide great training, meaningful experience and significant compensation to individuals that are willing to work hard. Education, Experience & Other Requirements
• Doctoral degree in applied psychology
• Relevant work experience preferred (e.g., in a consulting firm, career assessment center, or HR/OD department)
• Proven track record of consistently delivering high-quality work
• Knowledge and academic preparation in assessment
• A client oriented mindset evidenced by managing client expectations and delivering pragmatic real world solutions to meet client needs
• Comfort working on client-facing projects and with frequent interpersonal interaction
• Ability to build rapport with senior level colleagues and clients
• Interest in business and commercial activities
• Motivation toward long-term partnerships with clients rather than one-time engagements
• Self-directed and highly motivated, with a tolerance for ambiguity
• Open-minded, collaborative and team oriented
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid presentation and facilitation skills

Marie Anderson, Psy.D. is a partner at SKS. She leverages a unique combination of therapeutic and organization experience to provide business critical solutions. She joins SKS from an international medical device company, where she served as a trusted HR and management partner. Her range of consulting activities includes individual assessment, coaching, organizational assessment and competency modeling, and team development. She has also insight and knowledge gained from owning and managing her own business. Marie holds a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, where she serves as an adjunct teaching professor.

Jessica Bell, Psy.D. is a talent assessment consultant with SKS. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She earned her Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology at St. Thomas University. She brings strong technical assessment skills to her work at SKS, as well as a background in marketing and communications.

Lori Coleman received her undergraduate degree in Education from Minnesota State University at Winona. After having worked in customer service, project management and managerial positions, she joined SKS in 2001 as Office Manager. Her primary focus is to provide superior customer service to our clients. She can be contacted for information about our organization, to schedule appointments, or to set up online testing through our website.

David Donnay, Ph.D. is managing partner at SKS. He has two decades of experience in applied psychology in business settings. He is known for his business acumen and strategic thinking as well as his knowledge of psychology. David is an expert in assessment, succession planning and coaching at senior levels in organizations. He graduated from Saint John’s University and earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Iowa State University of Science and Technology. He has received multiple awards for research on long-term prediction of leadership and career success. Earlier in his career he served as an executive leader at Consulting Psychologists Press, where he collaborated with large global consultancies, led product development of gold standard assessment tools, and provided professional services to Fortune 500 companies.

P. William Kirkpatrick, Ph.D. graduated from Indiana University, and then earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas. He shifted his focus from clinical practice and management to consultation with business organizations in 1980. He has conducted thousands of assessments for a variety of organizations, with concentrations in healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing. He has served in leadership capacities for consulting psychologists at the local and state level. He came into the firm in 1994 and is of senior counsel with SKS.

Christine McGie graduated in 2008 with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During her senior year at University of Minnesota, Duluth, she was selected to be one of the Psychology Department’s distinguished research assistants. Upon graduation she worked as a staffing coordinator for a services firm. In 2011 she brought her coordination skills to SKS as talent assessment and development coordinator.

Heather Mortensen, Ph.D. is a partner at SKS. She has a diverse background in leadership assessment, development, and coaching that spans from retail to distribution/logistics to healthcare. Working with clients to improve their performance has been the foundation of Heather’s career for the last 12 years. She joins SKS after working as an internal organizational psychologist for a Fortune 100 company where she provided practical and results focused solutions. She excels at making assessment data applicable for individuals to grow personally and professionally and for organizations to understand their talent. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Department of Psychology.

Ann M. Swanson, Ph.D. is of senior counsel with SKS. She is a dynamic consultant with expertise in assessment, analytics and talent management. She has over twenty years experience as a director and executive with a large, successful insurance firm. Her experience in the corporate world gives her a deep appreciation of the value of selection and development for leaders and impact players. She has conducted research on selection, turnover, sales productivity, and organizational development. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, where she has taught at the graduate level.

J. Bradley Swanson, Ph.D. has recently retired after more than three decades with the group. He continues to support SKS as special counsel. He received his undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus and his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Purdue University. Few psychologists in the Upper Midwest can match his experience in working with business organizations. Assessment and succession planning have been his primary focus throughout his distinguished career.

Sarah Trebesch is an assistant office manager with SKS. She is a graduate of Augsburg College. She has extensive experience in marketing, customer service and operations management. She plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional experience for our clients and participants in SKS programs.

Nathan Whittier, Psy.D., ABPP is a partner at SKS. He came into the firm in 2006. Since then, he has conducted thousands of assessments at all levels of the leadership pipeline, partnering with organizations to enhance the quality of decision-making in the critical areas of selection and development of key talent. Nate received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, and then earned his Psy.D. and MBA at Wright State University. He has obtained certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), a credential recognizing advanced competence within the specialty of Organizational and Business Consulting Psychology. Board certification is considered to be the highest credential that can be earned by a professional psychologist.
